House of Long Island
Ira R. Halperin was
honored by the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island at the
Eighth Annual Golf and Tennis Outing on June 13, 2005 at
the Tam O'Shanter Club. "It is truly an honor and a privilege
to be recognized by the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island,
especially in the year when its major expansion has come
to fruition. I am extremely proud to be associated with
this outstanding organization" said Ira Halperin, co-head
of the Corporate Practice Group at the law firm of Meltzer,
Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, LLP.
The Ronald McDonald
House of Long Island [link to their web site] provides families
a home-away-from-home during their child's treatment for
a serious illness at local hospitals. Since 1986, the House
has serviced more than 8,500 families with more than half
coming from Long Island and the boroughs of New York. The
warm and supportive atmosphere at the House combined with
the ability to be at their child's bedside within minutes
is priceless to families during the very difficult time
of a child in serious illness.
