Herb is an expert in the field of representing advertising publisher's representatives. Since 1981, Herb has served as Counsel to the National Association of Publishers' Representatives (NAPR). NAPR is a nationwide association with over 250 members who are involved with the sale of advertising for national magazines and other media. Herb has assisted members of the association in their contract relationships and endeavors to make sure that the publishers meet their obligations to each representative. He has substantial experience in arbitrating claims on behalf of members of the association.
Previously, Herb served as Chairman of the Corporate Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. He has frequently lectured on representing businesses as well as acquiring or selling a business. Herb is also experienced in real estate and other commercial matters. He has been involved in complex leasing, mortgage, condominium and various real estate transactions.
Serving as counsel to Meltzer Lippe, Herb's practice involves the public and private corporate field. He has been involved in more than 30 public stock offerings and private placements, as well as numerous corporate transactions involving buying and selling businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate divestitures.
Well experienced in his field, Herb has assisted his clients with their corporate compliance obligations, proxy filings, annual reports, meetings and other corporate obligations. He is experienced in the preparation of corporate employment and compensation agreements.
A graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Liberal Arts and the Law School, Herb was active in the Long Island Club of the University of Michigan. Previously, Herb was active in his political party and his temple by serving on the board.
A resident of Melville, Long Island, New York, Herb and his wife are the proud parents of two children and five grandchildren.
