Mike has published articles in the New York CPA Journal and in Tax Hotline. He has also published a treatise on the 1995 Protocol (dealing with taxes imposed by reason of death) to the U.S. - Canada Income Tax Treaty. In addition, he lectures throughout the country on various estate and trust topics such as wills, foreign trusts, basic and advanced estate planning and income taxation of estates and trusts.
He is a certified public accountant and came to Meltzer Lippe after an extensive career in estate planning as a manager at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP. Previously, he practiced estates and trusts law for three years at a New York City law firm.
Mike and his family live in East Rockaway. He is married to Risa and has two sons, Joshua and David. For relaxation, Mike enjoys basketball, fishing and golf.
