Gisella is Of Counsel to the firm's Corporate Law Group with experience representing private companies engaged in private placements and other commercial transactions. She has represented asset managers in the structuring, formation and on-going operations of domestic and international private equity funds and hedge funds. Her experience includes advising U.S. and non-U.S. issuers engaged in private offerings of equity securities and acting as counsel to, and negotiating terms of investments for, highly sophisticated investors looking to invest in private equity funds and hedge funds. She is experienced in partnership and limited liability company laws.

Prior to joining Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, Gisella was an associate in the investment funds practice of White & Case, LLP in New York.

Gisella is also a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in business and finance. From 1994 to 2002, Gisella served as the Divisional Director of Financial Operations and Chief Financial Officer of companies serving the healthcare field.

Gisella graduated from Bernard Baruch College, CUNY with a BBA in accounting in 1984 and received her MBA, with distinction, from Adelphi University in 1992. She earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, cum laude, in 2005 where she was awarded the Bertram D. Brettschneider Scholarship and served in the Hofstra Law Review.

Gisella is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
