Doug is an Associate in the Firm's Litigation Group. Doug served as a judicial intern with the Honorable Joseph P. Spinola of the Nassau County Supreme Court, and as a law clerk at various law firms and has had experience in the matrimonial, real estate and corporate fields as well as in trust and estate matters. As a summer associate with Meltzer Lippe and while awaiting bar admission, Doug has worked on cases involving personal jurisdiction determinations, breach of real estate brokerage agreement, failure of a landlord to timely deliver possession of leased premises and personal liability of members of the board of directors of a produce corporation under the federal PACA statute and a beneficiary's right to compel partition and sale of inherited real property.
Doug has also worked on cases involving tortious interference with contractual relations issues, breach of warranty of fitness for a particular purpose claims, abuse of process and malicious prosecution causes of action, and attorney malpractice allegations.
Doug graduated from St. John's University School of Law where he received the CALI Award for Estate Administration in the Fall of 2006, which is given to the student with the highest grade in the class. While attending St. John's, Doug was the Student Editor in Chief of the New York State Bar Real Property Law Journal and a member of the Real Property Law Society.
Doug is an avid football fan and also enjoys music, traveling, basketball and baseball.
